The Office of Emergency Services is pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Otis as the new Deputy Fire Marshal for the campus.
Nick has spent the past 6 years working as a General Manager and Fire Inspector with Aidi, Inc., proving plan check and building inspection services to several Bay Area cities. He holds a B.A. from San Francisco State University and an A.A. in Fire Technology from Mission College, as well as Fire Inspector I certification from the International Code Council.
Nick will report to Campus Fire Marshal Rick Rodewald and will primarily be responsible for managing the Title 19 fire inspection program for campus buildings, as well as assisting with Title 24 construction project code compliance work. He will also assist with Emergency Management duty coverage and EOC staffing for the campus.
